GotoGo attaches great importance to protecting the privacy of its users.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what data may be collected, how it is used and what your rights are.
By using the GotoGo application and services, you accept this Privacy Policy.
2. Data collected
As part of GotoGo’s operation, the following data may be collected:
- name or first name provided during registration;
- email address;
- phone number;
- user role: client or driver;
- vehicle information for drivers, such as vehicle brand and license plate;
- location data, including GPS position required to connect clients and drivers;
- ride-related data, such as departure point, destination, ride status and information required to follow the ride;
- notification-related data, including identifiers used to send notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
3. Purposes of processing
The data is used only to enable GotoGo to function properly, including to:
- create and manage user accounts;
- connect clients and drivers;
- display useful ride information;
- allow contact between client and driver;
- send ride-related notifications;
- track rides and improve service safety;
- manage ride history;
- respond to support requests or legal obligations.
4. Location
GotoGo uses location data to identify nearby drivers, display the position useful for the ride and improve matching between users.
Location data is used only within the scope of the service provided by GotoGo.
5. Authentication and technical services
GotoGo uses third-party technical services to provide certain features, including:
- Firebase: authentication, database, synchronization and notifications;
- Google Maps: mapping, map display and location-related services.
These services are used only to provide the GotoGo service and are subject to their own privacy policies.
6. Data sharing
GotoGo does not sell users’ personal data.
Some information is shared only to the extent necessary to provide the service, for example between a client and the driver involved in a ride.
Data may also be disclosed if required by law or due to a legal obligation.
7. Data retention
Data is kept for the period necessary for the operation of the service, user account management, ride tracking and compliance with legal obligations.
GotoGo strives to limit data retention to what is strictly necessary.
8. Security
GotoGo implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or unauthorized disclosure.
Despite these efforts, no system is completely risk-free.
9. Your rights
In accordance with applicable regulations, you may request:
- access to your data;
- correction of your data;
- deletion of your account and data, where possible;
- additional information about the processing of your data.
